Bartender - 1PT

Main Duties

Reporting to the Casino Shift Manager and under the supervision of the Food-Beverage Supervisor, this position focuses on delivering customer service excellence, and convenient Food & Beverage services, by preparing beverages for Casino guests in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities include : Providing exceptional hospitality, emphasizing personalized service and attentive treatment, to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Receiving drink orders. Preparing mixed drinks, bottled / draught beer, wine, and other beverages. Maintaining bar inventory and liquor storage.

Cleaning and maintaining bar glassware, surfaces, tools, and equipment. Serving food / snacks to customers. Accepting payment from patrons.

Adhering to responsible service of alcohol guidelines. Handling other related tasks as required, to provide service to bar patrons.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) / Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
• The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.
• Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace.

Qualifications

Education :

• Successful completion of a Bartending course at a recognized institution would be preferred.
• Successful completion of Responsible Service of Alcohol Program is preferred.

Experience :

• Experience in customer service and working with many diversified situations and personalities.
• Previous bartending experience in the restaurant and / or gaming industry would be preferred.
