Position Overview

This is a newly created position that will be based out of our Milton manufacturing facility and will be responsible for development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.

The successful applicant for this opportunity has knowledge of SQF and / or other GFSI, knowledge of HACCP, is a strong communicator, highly organized, and capable of working independently or in a team environment. This role will also include any ad-hoc activities required.

Please note that this position will require you to work on-site. There will be a requirement to provide coverage for Days and Afternoon shift along with occasional support for the other shifts including Nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own site written Quality Management System ensuring local site Quality policies exist which are in line with Dare Corporate Policy, customer requirements and relevant GFSI schemes.
• Drive continuous improvement and modernization of Quality tools and systems.
• Develop and support execution of quality related education and training
• Lead Food Safety Team meetings and keep site Food Safety Plans up to date.
• Lead the site Internal Auditing program, launch testing of the traceability system and ensure the site CAPA program is functioning as intended
• Oversee site Training program on quality standard and GMP practices
• Assume a leadership role during GFSI and customer audits
• Own raw and pack supplier approvals and risk assessments for the site
• Organize and coordinate the activities of quality team around promoting food safety and quality culture and standards
• Support any on floor Quality / Food Safety incident and complaint investigations
• Back up and support for the Quality Manager position
