We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Market Data Sourcing Specialist to manage Strategic data provider relationships, serve as an advisor to business units and Market Data Analysts, analyze BU requirements and consumption drivers, and handle negotiation and execution of data agreements.

In the Corporate Services division, we empower our businesses by creating collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services that enhance the employee and client experience, while optimizing the value of our sourcing and third-party lifecycle to enable the Firm to do-and-win business.

This is a Director level position within Global Supplier Services. The Global Market Data (GMD) group includes Market Data Sourcing, Analyst, Administration, and Inventory Management functions. The Market Data Sourcing team manages the Firm’s global procurement relationships with providers of market data content and services while partnering with Analysts and business units to evaluate, understand business’ market data requirements, identify the data sources and vendor products needed to execute the business, and influence and advise on best-fit solutions.

What You’ll Do In The Role

• Manage relationships with data vendors, serving as the primary contact for sourcing within the firm.
• Handle negotiations for renewals and new contracts, managing the entire contractual lifecycle according to firm guidelines.
• Collaborate with data providers, technology teams, and internal clients and colleagues to understand and align data strategies and drive maximize value.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of each vendor to provide strategic recommendations, including utilizing industry knowledge to enhance the way the Firm does business with these providers.
• Manage the strategic aspects of product demonstrations, pilot projects, and opportunities for competitive displacement.
• Work closely with Legal, Finance, and Business Management to resolve any contractual, commercial, compliance, or relationship issues.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• At least 6 years in finance and/or banking.
• Candidate should possess financial services experience, particularly in managing supplier engagements and a broad range of consumer relationships.
• Requires strong skills in negotiating complex agreements, with a deep understanding of data usage compliance and intellectual property rights.
• Must be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and gaining support for market data strategies.
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and adaptable team player with the ability to analyze and clarify ambiguous requirements and business needs and translate them into actionable plans.
• Should have robust project management and organizational skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally some knowledge of Ariba and/or FITS-Market Data Inventory system.
