CNC Field Service Technician

Job Description

Our client is an Industrial equipment supplier manufacture. They are looking for a CNC Field Service Technician to add to their team.

Position : CNC Field Service Technician

Location : Kipling Avenue / The Queensway Etobicoke

Dayshift : Mon-Fri

Payrate : Open payrate (DOE) -Permanent hire

Duties

  • Install, diagnose, maintain and repair machines in a safe, timely and professional matter.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on Haas CNC machines and test for proper operation.
  • Provide detailed and accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Travel to customer sites with occasional site visits out of province. Overnight stay may occur.

Requirements

Requirements :

  • Experience in technical field support - machine tools, automation, or electromechanical controls (knowledge of electrical, electronics pneumatics and hydraulics systems)
  • the ideal candidate must be customer oriented, conscientious and career minded as well as organized and possessing excellent people skills.
  • Other requirements include good communications skills, both written and verbal in English,
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to travel within Eastern Canada but predominantly in Southern Ontario.
  • Technician will also be required to travel to USA for Haas service certification.
  • Initial in-house training as well as on-line continuing education through multiple tools on Haas website are offered as well.

  • Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical technical diploma is preferred.
  • Candidates with knowledge and experience with Haas control are highly desirable.
  • Experience with repairing, servicing or rebuilding industrial equipment other than machine tools is a plus.
  • CNC programming knowledge is a preferred asset.
