Family Physician - Community - Abbotsford — Fraser Health invites you to join an innovative and unique primary health care team in one of Canada’s fastest growing and culturally diverse cities. We are currently seeking a part-time General Practitioner to join our team at the Abbotsford Primary Care Access Clinic (APCAC) located in Abbotsford, BC.

The clinic is operated by nurse practitioners and physicians providing a wide range of health care services for patients without a family physician in the community, including government-assisted refugees.

The successful candidate will participate as a full and active member in the delivery of effective team-based primary care services through the clinic, where patients, families and caregivers are able to more easily access timely, comprehensive, person-centred, culturally safe, quality care.

Location: Community – Abbotsford

Contract Term: 2 years

Compensation: Sessional Contract - 156 Sessions (2-3 days per week)

Responsibilities

• Participate as a full and active member in the delivery of team-based primary care services through the clinic.
• Provide timely, comprehensive, person-centred, culturally safe, quality care to patients, families and caregivers with access to primary care services.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physicians to support post-discharge care for patients without a family physician and government-assisted refugees.

Qualifications

• CCFP, CMPA, CPSBC eligible for full license
