About the role :

At Compass ELC Beehive you will work as an Evening Cleaner alongside some of the most passionate, caring, and dedicated educators in the industry. You will spend your time cleaning and maintaining the environment, spaces, and materials within our program. You will model and grow a perspective of equity and strive for a deeper understanding of cultural awareness. Hours will be based on programs needs and funding. You will work - hours per week, Monday to Friday evenings and weekends as needed. Hours will be based on program needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Working as part of a team with fellow Co-workers.
  • Demonstrating respect for spaces by ensuring the safety and cleanliness of all equipment, furniture, and materials.
  • Daily cleaning of the spaces that are being used during the day; including mopping, dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting and steam cleaning.
  • You have a clear knowledge of the cleaners, disinfectants, and sanitizers being used.
  • Strong communication skills with program leads to ensure that all health and safety standards are met.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Standard First Aid / CPR Level C (Required)
  • Updated Vulnerable Sector Check within the last months (Required)
  • Updated Immunizations / Refusal of Affidavit (Required)
  • Understanding of WHMIS and Safe Cleaning Procedures
