Staff Accountant

Overview

The Staff Accountant should be a detail oriented, motivated individual whose primary focus will be managing and executing billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Over time, this position will expand into broader accounting responsibilities, offering a clear career growth path within the organization.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare, generate, and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Reconcile billing data with contracts, sales records, and accounting systems.
• Ensure accurate and reconciled inventories on a daily basis as part of our internal controls.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with monthly close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
• Support the accounting team in preparing reports, schedules, and documentation for audits or reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing and accounting processes.
• Take on progressively advanced accounting responsibilities such as accruals, expense analysis, and financial reporting as the role develops.
• Any other duties or tasks as required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 per year. Eligible for paid vacation time. Eligible for Group Benefits plan and Group RRSP plan. Opportunity for a discretionary annual bonus, recognizing both individual contributions and overall company success.
