Sanitation Tech CA - Vernon

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the production process. Specifically, sanitizing all mix tanks, holding tanks, permanent piping, freezers, filler assembly of machinery, clamps, all product contact areas, floor area, wall, stairwell, hallways, and equipment. May perform other duties as assigned. Assist in other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Wiping down tables, vending machines, microwaves etc…within multiple breakrooms hourly
• Sanitizing doorknobs, light switches and frequently touched items within R&D and Plant Buildings
• Restocking toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer in employee restrooms
• Maintain housekeeping tools and supply inventory in a clean and orderly condition.
• Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols while working.
• Follow site‑specific sanitation procedures, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Properly follow and fill out the Master Sanitation Schedule
• Sweep & mop facility.
• Follows J&J Snack Food’s Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
• Follows all OSHA safety rules and all food safety laws and regulations.
• Other tasks may be assigned.

To perform this job successfully, the Sanitation Tech- Housekeeping must be self‑motivated, able to problem solve, detail‑oriented, and able to stay on task. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education

Work requires a high school level of knowledge in order to prepare reports, keep records and / or deal effectively with people.

US Hourly Pay Range

$20 - $20 USD
