POSITION : Secondary Teacher - temporary

ASSIGNMENT : General, Literacy (Gr 10-12) Indigenous Literacy and Numeracy support. Support Indigenous students toward academic success.

FTE : 0.5714

LOCATION : Correlieu Secondary School

EFFECTIVE DATES : Commencing September 1, 2025 until June 30, 2026

Basic Qualifications : A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following :

Training Specialization : Secondary Education with a major in Literacy and Numeracy

Related Teaching Experience : Recent successful experience teaching Indigenous Education

A Reasonable Expectation : based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

Additional Qualifications : Knowledge of local Indigenous Community

The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109, 520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
