POSITION : Secondary Teacher- temporary

ASSIGNMENT : Social Studies, Career Life Education, Home Economics-Family Management (Grade 10)

FTE : 1.0

LOCATION : Correlieu Secondary School

EFFECTIVE DATES : Commencing February 3, 2025 until June 30, 2025

Basic Qualifications : A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following :

Training Specialization : Secondary Education with a major in Social Studies, Home Economics

Related Teaching Experience : Recent successful experience as a Secondary Social Studies, Home Economics Teacher is preferred

A Reasonable Expectation : based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

Additional Qualifications :

• Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in Social Studies

The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
