Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Payable Clerk for a fantastic opportunity at their offices in Goodwood, NS. This is a contract opportunity with strong potential to become permanent. The successful candidate has previous experience working in a similar role and the ability to work both independently as well as within a team.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
Accounts receivable Sending statements Preparing accounts up to month-end Following up on payments Tracking payment terms Collecting mail cheques Bank deposits Accounts payable Processing supplier invoices Assisting with other accounting duties as required
Skills & Attributes for Success :
Post-secondary education at the college or university level in business or accounting Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting support role Microsoft Office Suite & Sage software proficiency is a definite asset Previous experience in a transport and / or industrial environment is an asset Clear, concise, and professional communication skills Above average attention to detail Excellent time-management skills Ability to work independently when required as well as within a strong team
