THE CENTRE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION has the following anticipated vacanc(ies) in Computer Science for the WINTER 2026 Semester - January 5th to May 1st, 2026 (Tuesday / Wednesday

6 : 30pm – 10 : 00pm & Saturdays (3 out of 4) 8 : 30am – 1 : 30pm

TITLE : Preventive Surveillance in Cybersecurity

HOURS :  75

N.B. Contracts are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment in each course. Starting date, day / time and location for each course to be determined by the Centre for Continuing Education.

The Cybersecurity : Prevention and Intervention program empowers professionals to defend digital assets and respond effectively to cyber threats. This program is ideal for those seeking to strengthen organizational resilience and align cybersecurity practices with evolving regulatory and technological landscapes.

COMPUTER SCIENCE (420)

• Bachelor's or equivalent
• degree in Computer Science
• Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered
• Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional / industry experience
• Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
• Excellent English communication skills essential
• Bilingualism (English / French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.
• EQUIVALENT ESTABLISHES A GENERAL COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO OFFICIAL EDUCATION SYSTEMS
• THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR CYBERSECURITY : PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION
• Cybersecurity certification such as, but not limited to, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, GSEC, GISP, CompTIA Security+, OR, 3 years industry experience as a cybersecurity specialist. REQUIRED.
• Networking / Cloud certification such as, but not limited to, CCNA, Cisco security certifications, or vendor-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). PREFERRED.
• Experience teaching at the post-secondary level. PREFERRED.

Note : In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and / or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional / industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
