Ontario Power Generation (OPG), which is wholly owned by the Province of Ontario, is a global climate change leader and the largest, most diverse electricity generator in the province of Ontario.
It is Ontario’s largest clean energy generator, producing almost half of the electricity used by Ontarians every day all at a significantly lower cost than other producers.
Together, OPG and its family of companies are helping lead the charge to a post-carbon economy. It is within this context that OPG is now searching for a Managing Director of Portfolio Strategy & Investment Risk.
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), the Managing Director of Portfolio Strategy & Investment Risk is responsible for the management and oversight of the risk exposures in OPG’s Pension Fund and co-management and oversight of the Ontario Nuclear Funds, recommending and advising on the Fund’s optimal asset and risk allocation necessary to achieve the Funds’ objectives.
The Managing Director, Portfolio Strategy & Investment Risk is responsible for advising on risk management and risk reporting to the senior leadership team including the CIO,Investment Committee, Investment Funds Risk Oversight Committe, and the Board of Directors.
They will work closely with the external service providers, overseeing many of their contractual deliverables and will be a key contributor to the development and execution of OPG’s strategic asset allocation decisions, asset / liability management strategies, and its alternative asset investment strategy.

Your strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to effectively relate complex concepts to key stakeholders across the organization.
