Job description

Title :  Database Administrator

Location : Toronto ,Ontario

Duration : 6 Months

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in database administration, particularly with Oracle DBMS, Oracle Exadata, Oracle OEM, and Oracle Cloud
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science
  • Proficient in building, implementing, and managing PostgreSQL databases on Redhat Linux
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud on Exadata platform, including design, development, and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of database security, encryption, and user access management
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle 12c / 19c RAC, ASM, DataGuard, and Goldengate Replication
  • Proficient in Python, Perl, and UNIX shell scripting
  • Experience with IBM IIDR data replication and Tivoli Storage Manager
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements such as SOX, PCI DSS, FISMA, and FATCA

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the finance industry
  • Strong analytical skills for performance analysis using tools like Statspack, SQL tracing, AWR, and ASH reports
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving critical incidents

  • Build, implement, and manage distributed Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for database issues
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
