Licensed Practical Nurse

POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE

The LPN will work collaboratively with the community health nurse, Elders, and other health professionals to provide healthcare services, and support to Xaxli’p members. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous health perspectives and a commitment to culturally safe care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide nursing care, including assessments, treatments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Conduct home visits and wellness checks for Elders and community members in need.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records following healthcare regulations.
• Advocate for culturally appropriate healthcare services and ensure respectful, trauma-informed care.
