Our Village of Riverside Glen , located in Guelph, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Full Time ASSISTANT DIRECTOR of NURSING to join their LONG-TERM CARE village team.

Details :

  • Maternity leave coverage
  • Working 1 in 5 weekends
  • Working an on call rotation (approximately 2-3 times per year)
  • 75 Hours bi-weekly

To be successful as our new Assistant Director of Nursing Care, you will :

  • Hold a current registration as a Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Hold current Heart Save Level of CPR
  • Have three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with people living with Dementia and understand how to support individuals expressing Personal Expressions
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role

It would be an asset if our new Assistant Director of Nursing Care has :

  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation and regulations applicable to the long-term care sector, including the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and Health & Safety
  • Experience in Geriatric nursing
