Responsibilities

Manage the cost control cycle throughout the project execution by setting up projects / mandates tracking budgets and schedules within the project management system;
Calculate the initial budget on the basis of the proposal;
Ensure tracking of hours expenses costs and budget updates;
Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
Evaluate change requests evaluate their impact on project objectives and communicate changes to stakeholders;
Ensure and manage the project progress monitoring with discipline managers including cost and schedule controls;
Ensure followup with project managers on regular updates of project forecasts including periodic assistance in the estimation of remaining project costs as well as necessary provisions and risks;
Records and resolves issues relating to project budgets and schedules;
Ensure the quality of prepared project status reports executive summaries and dashboards to provide timely updates on performance.

Requirements

Degree in Administration Finance or Engineering;

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position preferably in the construction industry;

Bilingual (an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;

Strong personal IT skills (MS Office suite) and relevant software skills specific to project controls.

Skills and attitudes required

Interest for numbers and rigorous in analyzing project costs;

Autonomy;

Ability to work in a team;

Able to perform in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines;

Excellent organizational communication and writing skills.

Ability to obtain a security clearance
