Virtual Sales Representative

Reports To : Virtual Sales Vice President, Individual Sales

Department : Individual Sales

Term : Permanent Full-Time

Location : Canada

Work Arrangements

You will work from your home office 100% of the time. Sales roles may require travel based on assignments. You may need to be in-person at our Waterloo, ON office or another location within the Waterloo Region, as needed.

The Opportunity

The Virtual Sales Representative plays a key role in our Individual Life and Health Insurance division. In partnership with the external Director, Insurance Sales, you will be responsible for business development and account management of life insurance-focused advisors across the Western Region. Your duties will include providing case consultation, sales, product, and marketing support to drive sales within your assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the external Director, Insurance Sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance-focused advisors through proactive engagement within your territories.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and grow productive advisor relationships for the Individual Insurance Product Line (Universal Life, Whole Life, Term, and Critical Illness) in your territories.
  • Build relationships with producers through one-on-one discussions, seminars, and case consultations.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education and / or relevant professional designations (e.g., CFP, CLU, CHFC, TEP).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on marketing to firms and advisors in a life insurance environment.
  • Proficiency with office software such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills (both written and oral).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for meetings and events.
