Ottawa – Nestled in the heart of Canada’s capital city, our region boasts a rich history and specialization in public buildings for government clients and a diverse range of community buildings across other market sectors. Our expertise shines through in work in the Security and Defence sector. Moreover, we have led historical preservation initiatives including Parliament Hill, safeguarding iconic symbols of Canadian democracy for future generations.

Responsibilities

• Producing technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner’s Statement of Requirements, in collaboration with project teams.
• Working with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations.
• Providing technical design solutions for facility construction including interior and exterior assemblies.
• Coordinating with internal production teams and project sub‑consultants.
• Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.
• Assisting with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
• 6+ years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist for an architectural consulting firm. Must have experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, or industrial project types.
• Substantial product knowledge and the ability to detail architectural building systems and put together full drawing packages suitable for tender.
• REVIT software experience is necessary.
• Preference given to candidates with understanding of BIM principles & workflows, Microsoft 365 environment, construction site experience, and Bluebeam.
