Position : Accounting Coordinator - Hybrid Opportunity with Great PerksLocation : Downtown Toronto, OntarioSalary : Competitive salary and benefitsJob Type : Hybrid (in-office / remote)Our client, a leading real estate firm headquartered in Downtown Toronto, is seeking an experienced Accounting Coordinator to join their finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a well-established firm specializing in high-quality residential rental properties and other diversified real estate assets across Canada. The company's dynamic, growth-focused environment combines entrepreneurial energy with institutional discipline.Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance, the Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support financial operations, including : - Managing the accounts payable process : maintaining invoice tracking systems, coding and verifying invoices, coordinating approvals, corresponding with vendors, and processing payments and expense reports.- Supporting accounts receivable and revenue activities, including invoicing, collections, and deposits, in accordance with accounting and control policies.- Performing key accounting functions related to cash management, such as preparing and analyzing weekly treasury reports and summarizing invoice payments.- Executing treasury processes, including wire transfers, ACH, and cheque payments, and coordinating with banks on cash management activities.- Preparing working papers and compliance filings for taxation authorities (HST, payroll withholding, corporate tax, etc.).- Communicating with vendors, clients, and employees regarding payments in a professional manner.- Assisting with accounting process improvements and system upgrades to support top-tier financial operations.- Providing support for special projects as needed.The successful candidate is or has : - A university degree and at least 2-3 years of practical accounting and accounts payable experience.- Proficiency with standard accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with Sage and Concur is an asset.- A high level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.- General business and industry knowledge; experience in real estate or private equity is an asset.About the Opportunity : Our client's Toronto office is located in a vibrant downtown area, offering a hybrid work environment that supports a balance of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility.
