We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to support an enterprise healthcare client. As a Network Analyst, you will lead and collaborate on projects focused on upgrading network equipment in acute hospital Communication rooms within the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by leveraging your deep understanding of network protocols and configuration abilities (Cisco, HP, and Arista) to design and implement large-scale and complex projects.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for project planning and implementation.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation, including design documents, Method of Procedure (MOP), and As-built documents.
- Serve as the technical lead for projects, collaborating closely with the PHSA network core team to ensure successful project execution.
- Replace core switches, including migration of settings from legacy to new infrastructure.
- Replace edge switches, ensuring smooth migration of settings from legacy systems to new infrastructure.
- Utilize load-balancer (F5) configuration knowledge to optimize network performance (asset).
- Leverage firewall (Palo Alto and Fortinet) configuration knowledge to enhance network security (asset).
- Upgrade and replace WAN technologies to improve network capabilities.
- Provide support for vendor pre-field, staging, and implementation activities for circuit replacement.
- Prepare sites for installation, ensuring proper infrastructure and equipment placement.
- Assist with additional hardware components related to the network upgrade projects.
- Perform physical labor tasks related to the project requirements.
- Provide network implementation and production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as necessary.
Requirements :
- University degree or technical diploma in a program such as communications technology or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent data networking experience, demonstrating expertise in network equipment implementation, planning, site assessments, and network troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of network standards and protocols.
- Professional level vendor certification (, CCNP, PCNSE) would be a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network equipment, particularly Cisco, HP, and Arista systems.
- Strong understanding of load-balancer (F5) configurations (asset).
- Familiarity with firewall configurations, such as Palo Alto and Fortinet (asset).
- Ability to manage and execute large-scale network projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills to create detailed project documentation.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours for network implementation and production cutover activities.
