What You’ll Be Doing :
- Provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to a diverse team of environmental professionals, wildlife biologists, contractors, and administrative staff.
- Lead project team with a clear vision, ensuring seamless collaboration among stakeholders.
- Oversee workforce coordination, performance evaluations, and time / expense tracking.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute environmental projects, supporting the planning and permitting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and scope, while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct in-depth technical reviews of reports and provide professional certification and sign-off.
- Develop and implement environmental monitoring programs, technical assessments, and biological data collection initiatives.
- Prepare and submit senior-level technical reports related to environmental assessments and permitting.
- Ensure adherence to evolving regulations and corporate health and safety policies, integrating best practices into all operational activities.
- Act as the primary client liaison, offering strategic environmental guidance and project management across all stages.
- Foster collaboration across multiple service lines to develop integrated environmental solutions.
- Build and sustain relationships with external stakeholders including, government agencies, NGOs, industry groups, tenure holders, Indigenous communities, and the public. Lead and contribute to business development strategies, expanding service offerings and client engagement.
- Proactively build strategic industry relationships and network to identify growth opportunities.
- Support proposal and pre-qualification initiatives.

About You : Qualifications
A post-secondary degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in biology, environmental sciences / engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 5–10 years of progressive experience in environmental roles with increasing responsibility and autonomy.Experience in environmental permitting including RTFs (AKA Temporary Field Authorizations).Familiarity with current construction practices and working with construction crews.Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and collaboration capabilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively.Commitment to providing high quality deliverables in a timely manner.A track record of establishing and maintaining successful professional relationships.Intermediate-Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products.Assets
Experience in project management, especially in leading and mentoring teams.Financial literacy and understanding of managing budgets and schedules throughout project lifecycles.Familiarity with Alberta Public Lands Act permitting processes.Professional designation as a Registered Professional Biologist or Agrologist (or eligibility to obtain one of these credentials).QAES and Authenticating Wetland Professional certifications.Familiarity with Environmental Regulatory Guidelines including, but not limited to : Wildlife Act, Fisheries Act, Water Act, Alberta Wetland Policy and the Government of Alberta’s Professional Practice Standards for wetland assessments.Experience managing large-scale environmental monitoring and / or inspection projects.How to Apply :
