The Opportunity
As our client’s new HVAC Sales Manager, you will be supporting the Director of Commercial Business in overseeing daily operations one of their burgeoning, most important business sectors. As a seasoned sales professional with extensive experience, you will engage various customer segments in the commercial HVAC industry. In this important position, you will be responsible for sales, engineering support, and promotion of our client’s industry-leading HVAC and hydronic products and industry-leading services across all sales regions.
Position Description
- Develop new product sales channels for the current range of HVAC and hydronic products through existing distribution and direct sales networks.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers to promote and assist with the design of solutions, generating mechanical design specifications for the products.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with consulting engineers, building owners, contractors, and developers to secure their commitment to the products.
- Conduct effective seminars and workshops on product applications, selection, and design tools, emphasizing system benefits.
- Serve as an engineering resource to support the sales channel, issue quotes, service existing accounts, and generate future business prospects through customer visits, system design advice, sales calls, and other activities aimed at increasing specified system design volumes using the products.
- Identify and establish new supplemental sales channels for products.
- Collaborate with factories and other stakeholders to secure access to new product lineups that will enhance the existing product portfolio.
- Submit regular business intelligence reports, including market activity and trends, project pricing, sales pipeline, quotation status, and purchase order processing.
- Develop and implement application and sales strategies and plans to grow sales in certain product categories.
- Oversee the overall sales and profitability of the commercial HVAC products business, managing sales volume and product mix through distribution partners and direct sales networks.
- Work with the commercial sales team to build strong relationships with building owners, developers, and the consulting engineering community, promoting product quality and application to secure their commitment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience
10+ years of sales experience in HVAC and hydronic products, with excellent knowledge of hydronic systems.Established relationships within the HVAC community across Canada.Qualifications
Strong business development skills, with the ability to deliver compelling training presentations on sales, product features, benefits, and system design.Proven ability to assist consulting engineers with mechanical HVAC building design based on equipment supply.Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with proven negotiation and influencing abilities.Membership in ASHRAE and LEED certification is an asset.Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering.Education
