Position Summary

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance department by assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to gain hands-on experience and build a foundation in the field of accounting. You will work closely with the team, contributing to the overall success of our financial operations.

Accounting Administration

• Prepare & manage all bank & credit card entry & reconciliation
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile bank statements and perform periodic reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Assist in maintaining and updating financial records and documents
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Completion of various government surveys and questionnaires
• Assist Management and Corporate Controller in preparation of annual budgets.
• Assist with the creation and delivery of job costing reports on a timely basis
• Assist & support with all billings
• Preparation of all GST / PST returns
• Stay up to date on accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Physical Inventory Count

The Accountant must be available during the count to provide reconciliation of the physical inventory variances, as the variance reports come in
