Role: Business Digital Assets Lead / Project Manager
Work Arrangement: Remote
Duration: 2+ Years Contract
Project Overview
A large-scale clinical information modernization initiative is underway to create a unified, province-wide digital health ecosystem. This initiative involves transitioning multiple existing clinical systems into a comprehensive clinical information solution (CIS) supported by an integrated digital services ecosystem.
The program includes the implementation of digital health solutions across acute care, continuing care, primary care, community organizations, laboratories, and diagnostic imaging locations. As part of this transformation, several concurrent workstreams are being executed to ensure clinical and business readiness across the province.
A central Digital Health Services team supports the initiative through program management, business analysis, digital identity, enterprise architecture, integration, digital assets governance, and solution delivery. This role will support this transformation effort, with a specific focus on digital assets, records, and the solution acceptance process.
Role Summary
The Business Digital Assets Lead is responsible for coordinating, planning, and managing the successful delivery of digital assets across the program. This includes working with multiple project teams, subject‑matter experts, technical leads, privacy and security teams, business readiness groups, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure digital assets are identified, catalogued, validated, and transitioned appropriately.
This role contributes to the broader transformation program by ensuring that all digital assets are aligned with business requirements, regulatory standards, organizational governance, and technical implementation timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned digital asset workstreams.
- Manage project timelines, resource plans, work breakdown structures, and critical‑path items.
- Track progress, manage risks, and elevate issues as necessary.
- Coordinate with technical, clinical, operational, and business advisory teams to ensure end‑to‑end alignment.
Digital Asset Management
- Champion the digital asset strategy for the program.
- Facilitate the identification, documentation, validation, and lifecycle management of digital assets (documents, media, operational artifacts, knowledge assets, reference materials, etc.).
- Ensure that digital assets adhere to regulatory compliance requirements and organizational governance frameworks (privacy, security, retention, accessibility, etc.).
- Manage asset traceability and ensure accuracy of metadata and classifications.
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Gather business requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables for technical teams.
- Support workshops, interviews, and working sessions with stakeholders.
- Validate assets, workflows, and processes to support end‑user and operational readiness.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across clinical teams, project managers, business leads, technologists, and support teams.
- Prepare and deliver status updates, reports, and executive‑ready documentation.
- Support change management activities, communication plans, and stakeholder onboarding.
Documentation & Governance
- Produce project documentation, including requirements, specifications, process maps, risk logs, and decision records.
- Enforce digital asset governance standards and contribute to the advancement of enterprise digital asset management practices.
- Maintain accurate inventories of digital assets throughout the project lifecycle.
Solution Acceptance Support
- Work with testing, validation, and quality assurance teams to confirm digital asset accuracy and readiness for deployment.
- Support go‑live preparation, cutover activities, and post‑implementation transition.
- Coordinate the alignment of digital assets with solution workflows and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience leading or coordinating complex digital transformation or large‑scale technology projects.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage concurrent deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience in digital asset management, information management, or data governance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable deliverables.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments (healthcare, government, public sector, etc.) is an asset.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience producing detailed documentation, project plans, status reports, and decision records.
- Understanding of privacy, security, accessibility, and records retention requirements.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with clinical systems, electronic health records, or digital health transformation.
- Familiarity with enterprise content management systems or digital asset management platforms.
- Experience in business readiness, change management, and operational transformation.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and data management frameworks.
- Professional certification (PMP, PROSCI, Agile, ITIL, etc.) is considered an asset.
- Digital asset inventory and classification documentation.
