Concrete Design Engineer

Salary : $90-$100K, negotiable based on experience

OUR CLIENT

On behalf of our client, we are offering an opportunity to join them on their growing team in the lower mainland, designing specialty pre-cast concrete products.

We are looking for someone with a P.Eng (or close to having P.Eng), ideally with a background in design. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the entire operation, managing projects, and applying engineering knowledge to the practical and efficient design of precast concrete products and associated components.

You will be involved in other activities including design reviews, checking drawings, project meetings, scheduling, establishing objectives and leading and implementing process improvement initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• P.Eng with experience in precast concrete
• BA Sc. Civil Engineering Degree with 2-6 years of design experience
• EGBC registration with P.Eng. or EIT status with ability for full professional status within 4-6 months.
• Knowledge & experience in the following : Precast concrete design; Steel & welding design; Drafting Software; AutoCAD, Vectorworks; Structural design / analysis software an asset (FEA);
• Some experience in visual inspection and Quality Assurance / Control is an asset
• Possess strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Microsoft suite applications.
