If this sounds good to you, please read on! Summary of Position This posting is for a Permanent Full-Time Bus Driver for Unity and surrounding area, commencing immediately. Bus Drivers are an important part of the school team by providing safe and reliable transportation for our students. This particular route, UN5, requires about 274 km of driving each day picking up and delivering approximately 32 students. The route starts and ends South of Unity and brings students to and from the three schools in Unity.Qualifications Valid "S" School Bus Endorsement is required; 5 years driving experience; A clean Driver's Abstract; Satisfactory results from a medical examination in accordance with Board policy and The Highway Traffic Act is required; Related training such as courses in first aid, defensive driving or heavy equipment operation would be considered an asset. The Right Person will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently; be able to handle various physical tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, turning and climbing; have the ability to prioritize multiple demands and effectively manage time; be willing to work in varied climates and conditions; have excellent communications skills; be enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment; and genuinely appreciate working with children.
