Quality Control Technician
Seeking experienced Quality Control Technician in the Hamilton area for a permanent position.

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for chemical and microbiological analysis of incoming seed,
intermediates as required, and finished goods on a daily basis. The technician will verify that results are within specification, and
take corrective action and / or notify their supervisor in case of any deviation.

Responsibilities
Resonsibilities of this Quality Control Technician role are but not limited to :
- Perform analysis of incoming seed samples
- Verify finished product samples against production reports to ensure the lab has received samples for all skids produced
- Create composite samples where required
- Perform chemical and microbiological testing on samples, send samples to outside labs for testing that cannot be performed in-
house
- Report out of spec results to supervisor
- Generate Certificates of Analysis for customers
- Prepare reagents and agar as required
- Perform housekeeping duties as required
Qualifications
Qualifications we are looking for :
- 1-3 years experience in a food manufacturing facility, in a QA or QC capacity
- A degree or diploma from a recognized educational institution in Food Science or a closely related discipline
- Familiarity with use of Microsoft Office applications, and email programs such as Lotus Notes / Microsoft Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
