Position Overview :
This position will report to the Senior Director, Contracts and be based at the IMP Aerospace and Defence location near the Halifax International Airport.
What You Will Do :
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, negotiation, review, approval, execution, and renewal.
- Conduct thorough review and analysis of contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance.
- Work with internal departments and management to ensure adherence to contractual terms, including legal and regulatory obligations.
- Serve as the focal point for formal communications between IMP and external customers.
- Negotiate new and renewal contracts and contract changes.
- Work with internal Legal Counsel in the development and drafting of contractual terms and conditions, Teaming Agreements; Non-Disclosure Agreements and other legal agreements.
- Attendance at Internal and External Contract Progress Review Meetings.
- Periodic internal and external reporting of contractual performance and issues.
- Prepare financial information to support contractual activities undertaken by the Company.
- Support financial forecasting for contract expenditures.
- Support management of various first-tier subcontractor relationships
- Supervise a team of Contract Administrators.
- Maintain a contractual document repository, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all relevant stakeholders.
- Engage in and support capture and bid management efforts.
- Customer billing preparation and oversight.
- Assist with company compliance to Export Control, ITAR and Controlled Goods Regulations.
What You Will Bring :
5+ years' industry experience with Contract Management emphasis.Bachelor of Commerce / Business Administration.Preference will be given to those having experience in government contracts analysis and billing.Excellent knowledge of MS Office٫ especially advanced Excel skills.Good organizational and time-management skills.Above average interpersonal and written communication skills.Good problem solving skills and ability to learn in a fast paced environment.Responsibility٫ close attention to detail٫ ability to meet tight deadlinesDemonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
