JOB SUMMARY
The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City, as well as ensuring that communities, residents and visitors have access to the recreation and cultural places, programs, events and services that allow them to experience all the benefits the City has to offer, and overseeing Buildings and Facilities Management for improved service delivery integration, ensuring the best possible client experience in City facilities.
You are responsible for assisting with the administration, scheduling, development, marketing, and / or promotion and advertising and implementation of arts classes, programs, exhibits, performances and events in the areas of theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and / or media arts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Enrolled in a college or university arts-related studies program and / or practicing in a one of the following disciplines : music, dance, theatre, visual arts, literary arts, media arts, or arts education.
Minimum of 2 years of practicing and / or teaching experience in related discipline, and have the technical skills and training required to safely use specialized equipment, i.e. pottery kilns, wheels, lighting, sets
Completion of health and safety training required by legislation and by the Corporation of the City of Ottawa
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and / or AED certificatesAODA Customer Service / IASR Training
