Reporting to a Wellness Manager, the Health Care Aide is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Health Care Aide, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with residents and their families, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and wellbeing. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
How You’ll Succeed
Provide Resident Supervision and AssistanceSupport residents with activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming as per individual plans of careProvide Resident Care and ServicesAid residents with communication, encouraging use of sensory aids such as glasses or hearing aidsWith additional prescribed training, administer specific medication to residents under the supervision of a registered health professionalEnsure residents have easy access to mobility or assistive devices such as canes, walkers, call bellsSupport Resident Comfort & Well‑being; provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; and oral and dental careEncourage residents to participate in programs offered by the Resident Experience Team, individually or in groupsWho You Are
Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work supporting seniors in living life fullyHave completed a Health Care Aide program from an approved collegeDetail-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment, capable of providing bedside care to residentsExercise tact and diplomacy when working with seniors, their families and visitorsWhat You Need To Know
