What will you do at Fujitsu?

Virtuora Network Controller (VNC) is the platform for a comprehensive, adaptable, modular suite of software products that enable you to build and grow a virtualized, programmable network. VNC software utilizes micro services architecture and leverages open source technologies to provide a complete suite of SDN controller functionality.

Responsibilities

Develop SDN application software functions in the area of Topology, Northbound APIs.

Participate in requirement analysis, design, development and maintenance of multiple software components of the SDN controller to meet customer requirements using innovative technologies.

Investigate issues, track status, and resolve incidents during system testing.

Accountable for as-planned execution and quality of the applications developed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 8 years of product development experience in EMS application or SDN controller.

Expertise in core Java, threads, collections and data structures.

Experience in OOAD, design patterns, UML modeling.

Strong experience with communication protocols such as Netconf, TL1 and modeling tools such as YANG, JSON, XML.

Good knowledge of databases Cassandra or MongoDB.

Experience in at least one or two full release development of network management system products.

Experience designing and developing REST APIs.

Exposure to messaging frameworks like Kafka and Java frameworks such as OSGI, Spring, Blueprint.

Experience in unit testing, continuous integration (CI / CD) with JUnit, Jenkins, Postman.

Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, JIRA and Agile / Scrum development methodologies.

Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Experience in Linux or other Unix-like operating systems.

Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, micro‑services technology.

Motivated, goal-oriented with a strong work ethic; able to take lead and deliver projects; adaptable and open to change.

Nice to Have

Exposure to HDFS, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Spark and distributed big-data systems.

Hands‑on experience with Open Daylight (ODL) and SDN controller development.

Other Information

Location : Remote, Canada.

Travel : 10%.

As we are looking for a remote position, the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. 1Finity aligns salaries to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. The pay range for this role is estimated at $95,620 to $152,992 CAD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short‑term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
