ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director - Quality, the Manager, Quality provides operational leadership to establish and implement a quality framework and associated activities across SJCG. This position will provide staff with access to best practices, tools and techniques, by building implementation science capacity in programs and staff. This role works in collaboration with the management team to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.

The Manager is also accountable for the design, coordination, and implementation of the Accreditation Canada Qmentum Global Program, serves as an expert resource on Accreditation to Board, Leadership and Management Team, supports a shared understanding of Accreditation as part of a continuous quality improvement process, and evaluates organizational compliance with Accreditation standards.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration or related discipline
• Formal training in quality improvement methodologies and tools
• Minimum five year’s relevant experience
• Experience in proactively managing projects and/or initiatives to achieve desired outcomes, mentoring project teams, and applying performance improvement and change management methodologies, preferably in a health care environment

Skills/Abilities:

• Superior ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to deliver presentations and facilitate groups in problem solving, brainstorming, and creating new solutions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and leaders at all levels
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment
• Team player with the ability to influence and persuade
• Proven problem solving, analytical, and evaluative abilities
• Strong facilitation and consensus building skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet various deadlines
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Smartsheet
• Knowledge of the health care system, Accreditation Canada, and relevant healthcare legislation
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Assets:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Change Management Certification
• Master’s degree is an asset
• Current registration with a regulated health professional college in Ontario

Conditions of Employment:

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
• Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
