Job Description

As Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Environment, you will support all CIMA+ offices in Quebec in implementing and maintaining legal standards in health, safety at work and the environment, and contribute to innovative projects.

We offer a flexible hybrid work mode, allowing you to work from home and preferably from the Sherbrooke office or the Laval, Longueuil or Montreal offices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the HSE team : Manage the Quebec HSE team, including three (3) advisors
  • Continuous improvement : Contribute to the evolution of the EHSMS [DM1]  and lead initiatives in collaboration with the team.
  • Develop health, safety and environmental management (HSE) strategies and action plans
  • HSE advice and support : Advising management and employees
  • Manage relevant business relationships with external stakeholders and internal collaborators
  • Compliance and procedures : Develop and apply HSE policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitoring and management of the EHSMS : Managing procedures, training, incidents and risk analyses
  • Emergency measures : Coordinate and ensure the effectiveness of emergency measures plans for offices and project sites.

Qualifications

  • University degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent
  • Over ten years’ experience in HSE with experience in personnel management
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English. Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our clients, partners and cross-sectoral teams nationwide.
  • Travel between 10 and 25% of the time depending on the time of year (in Quebec)
  • Key competencies : Rigour, client focus, leadership, ability to influence decisions, teamwork, dynamism, organizational skills and excellent management of priorities.
