Position: Executive Assistant to the Director – Legal Affairs
Location: Laval, QC – On-site
Salary: Up to $95,000 + bonus
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Schedule: 40 hours/week
We are looking for an Executive Assistant – Legal Affairs to support the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in a strategic environment where priorities shift quickly. Responsibilities:
- Manage the calendar, travel arrangements, and confidential communications for the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary.
- Draft, revise, and format documents, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinate legal and governance activities, including board of directors meetings.
- Track action items and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support budget planning, expense monitoring, and departmental initiatives.
- Organize internal events, conferences, and strategic projects.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role within a legal department
- Proficient in French, spoken and written
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Discretion, sound judgment, and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Other Language Requirement: English
- Level of Proficiency Required: Advanced
- Reasons for Language Requirement: Communication with customers, collaboration between internal teams, support for operations in another region, relationships with partners or stakeholders from different cultures, legal or regulatory compliance, translation and interpretation
