Hello, our names are Kevin & TJ. We are currently looking for a nanny who can work a minimum of 5 days per week.

As a nanny for our children (age 4 and 2) your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the child. You will work closely with the parents to ensure the well-being and development of the children. This role requires patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for children. Your sole focus will be our children. You will not be responsible for regular household cleaning, chores, etc.

Responsibilities :

Childcare and Safety :

Create a safe and secure environment for children.

Monitor the children activities and ensure their safety at all times.

Handle feeding, diapering, naps and dressing the children appropriately.

Assisting parents with extra-curricular activities.

Administer any necessary medications under parental guidance.

Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper hygiene practices.

Development and Stimulation :

Engage in age-appropriate play and activities to stimulate the children’s development.

Read books, sing songs, and engage in creative and educational activities.

Foster language and social skills development through interaction and conversation.

Encourage sensory exploration and motor skill development through supervised play.

Engage in outdoor physical activities such as gardening, walks, sports (hockey, soccer, basketball, golf).

Communication and Collaboration :

Maintain open and regular communication with the parents to understand their expectations and preferences.

Provide updates on the children’s activities, behavior, and developmental milestones.

Collaborate with the parents on any changes or adjustments to the children’s routine or care.

Household Duties :

Maintain cleanliness and organization in common areas used by the children.

Requirements :

Previous experience working as a nanny or in a related childcare role such as daycare, preferably with toddlers and children.

Knowledge of baby care, including feeding, diapering, and sleep routines.

Familiarity with safety protocols for infants / children and ability to handle emergencies calmly.

Ability to engage in age-appropriate play and activities to support the children’s development.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with parents.

Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for children.
