Nanny Wanted - Seeking Part Time Care Aid (3 4 Days/Week) Friendly Family + Competitive Compensation:)

Hi! We are a family looking for a part-time care aid for my sister, starting initially at 3-4 days per week. Potential to progress to live-in with the right fit.

Our Needs :

My sister is 32 years old and has muscular dystrophy. She uses a power chair and requires help with dressing, getting in and out of chairs, bed, the shower, etc. We have lifts in place for all of this, as well as an accessible van to go to appointments, physiotherapy, and outings. As my parents are getting older, attending to her daily needs is becoming more and more tiring for them and we are looking for someone to help. The job would be 9am-5pm, 3-4 days a week, with competitive hourly pay. We also require someone who is able to do a few paid overnights each month (we can provide more info on this during interview).

Our Sister :

My sister is a very kind soul. She’s upbeat, funny, and smart. She loves cooking and baking, gardening, photography, music, and animals. We would love to find someone who shares her positive attitude and can help make her life easier and more fun. A major aspect of the job entails being a friend and companion to her. We also have an adorable Pomeranian dog who brings us lots of joy and laughter!

Our Home :

We live in a comfortable home in South Oak Bay, Victoria, which has been rated 2nd on the list of the safest, and most desirable neighbourhoods in Canada to live in! Our home in Oak Bay is a 10-minute drive from downtown Victoria and is within walking distance to Oak Bay Village, which has many cute boutiques, shops, and cafes. We enjoy the ocean and other scenic walks and parks, all within a few blocks. Our home has a big yard, and beautiful patio area with a heated pool. Our care aid will have a private area upstairs with a bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area with a television (for overnight stays).
