Calling all Pediatricians & General Practitioners!PLEA’s Asante program is currently seeking to contract with pediatricians and general practitioners in support of its Asante FASD and Other Neurodevelopmental Services program.This may be of interest to you, if : You’re qualified to work as a physician in British Columbia.You’re interested in assessing neurodevelopmental disorders, and working closely with other disciplines (e.g., psychology and speech language pathology).You’re interested in learning about trauma-informed care and culturally responsive assessment practices.You’re able (or interested in learning how) to complete multidisciplinary assessments.You’re looking for an opportunity that requires a small commitment in terms of hours per month, and flexibility in choosing when to provide your services.Why We ExistAsante FASD and other Neurodevelopmental Services, a program of PLEA Community Services, is committed to supporting individuals of all ages with neurodiversity, and their families, to exceed their own expectations. We do that through quality assessment and diagnostic services, speech-language therapy, client and family support, education, resource access and development, and research. We specialize in neurodevelopmental disorders related to prenatal alcohol or substance exposure and other developmental influences.Hours : A commitment to perform assessments at least 1 business day per month (e.g., between Monday to Friday, 9 : 00AM to 4 : 30PM).
