Position Description
Working alongside licensed pharmacists and reporting to pharmacy leadership, you will support the safe and accurate preparation, processing, and distribution of prescriptions while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
- Greeting and assisting patients in person and by telephone
- Receiving, organizing, and preparing prescriptions for dispensing
- Counting, packaging, labeling, and staging medications for pharmacist verification
- Processing prescription claims and resolving third-party billing or adjudication discrepancies
- Managing point-of-sale transactions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Coordinating prescription deliveries when required
- Ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and pharmacy supplies in accordance with storage and safety standards
- Supporting front-store merchandising initiatives and assisting customers with product inquiries
- Communicating with healthcare providers to clarify prescription information
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and confidentiality standards within the pharmacy

Experience
Experience in a retail, customer-facing, or pharmacy support environmentExposure to prescription processing and insurance billing systemsFamiliarity with pharmacy management software platformsConfidence working within compliance-driven healthcare settingsExperience handling provincial drug benefit plans and third-party reimbursement processes is considered a strong assetQualifications
