Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is directly responsible for performing specialized work related to the maintenance, repair, and inspection of mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and safety systems, including the production machines and equipment used in the manufacturing of the company’s products. He is also responsible for carrying out general building and facility maintenance tasks. The position is located in Mansonville, Quebec.
Essential Job Functions
- Assigns work orders to maintenance employees and ensures the progress of daily tasks.
- Ensures that maintenance policies and procedures are maintained and followed.
- Ensures that planned maintenance programs are kept up to date.
- Supervises maintenance employees (development, performance evaluations, attendance, etc.).
- Plans emergency maintenance work in the event of equipment breakdown.
- Monitors the work order planning system (IT Guide).
- Responds to daily plant requests related to maintenance.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations during maintenance work.
- Attends daily production meetings.
- Participates in improving maintenance systems.
- Participates in the on-call team rotation schedule.
Requirements
College diploma (DEC) or vocational diploma (DEP) in industrial maintenance, or equivalent acquired through work experience.A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a maintenance-related mechanical trade; management experience is an asset.Strong technical knowledge in both mechanical and electrical systems.Comfortable managing maintenance employees and their various trades.Familiarity with common building maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety measures, and the ability to perform tasks safely and responsibly.Bilingualism is considered an asset. English would be a requirement as communication with English speaking employees is up to 30% of this position.Competencies
