Job Title : DB2 Database Administrator with MongoDB Experience  Duration : Contract  Location : Hybrid in Markham, ON  Job Description : We are seeking a skilled DB2 Database Administrator with hands-on experience in MongoDB to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing DB2 databases while also contributing expertise in MongoDB environments. Key Responsibilities : Install, configure, and maintain DB2 databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.

Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure system efficiency.

Manage database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Design, implement, and manage MongoDB databases, including clustering and replication.

Monitor database health and implement performance enhancements for both DB2 and MongoDB.

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support database integration and requirements.

Develop and maintain database documentation, including architecture diagrams and operational procedures.

Ensure compliance with database security standards and policies. Requirements : Proven experience as a DB2 Database Administrator.

Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including administration, query optimization, and schema design.

Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database concepts.

Experience with database tools and utilities for both DB2 and MongoDB.

Understanding of database security and encryption techniques.

Proficiency in scripting languages for database automation (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
