Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and with operations near Fort St. John, British Columbia, Pacific Canbriam Energy Limited (“PCE”) is committed to our 5Cs business philosophy of creating benefits for our Community, Country, Climate, Customer, and Company.

PCE believes that the quality of its resource is a strategic asset that differentiates the company. Early efforts to identify a scalable, low-cost supply source led to a focus in the Altares and Kobes Montney regions in northeast B.C. The Montney is a world class resource and Altares is among the highest quality areas. The region possesses a unique combination of thickness and over‑pressure, which contributes to highly efficient stacked resource development and strong well deliverability. Pacific Canbriam’s Montney resource also possesses a high liquids content and overall rock quality that translates into a highly competitive supply cost.

We believe that teamwork is the foundation of our success. We have established a culture where problem‑solving skills and critical thinking are highly valued. Individual technical disciplines collaborate to achieve common objectives and continuously improve results. PCE’s strategy and its culture are centred on this commitment.

PCE is committed to protecting people and the environment through responsible natural resource development. We are proud to engage in industry‑leading sustainability practices and promote continuous improvement throughout all areas of environment, social and governance (ESG) topics.

The next iteration of our integrated approach relates to the planned export of our natural gas to markets in growing economies overseas. To achieve this aim, PCE will supply B.C.’s proposed Woodfibre LNG project, which will liquefy the natural gas and load it into vessels. The natural gas will be shipped to international markets to help supply the energy the world needs.

THE POSITION

Pacific Canbriam Energy (PCE) is actively recruiting a Measurement Coordinator, based out of the Calgary office. Reporting to the Team Lead, Production Engineering, this role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of hydrocarbon measurement for our Montney gas asset. The position demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of field and plant operations, metering design and instrumentation, and industry standards (AGA, API, BCER). The ideal candidate will have expertise in both quantity and quality measurement, production reporting, and automation systems (EFM, SCADA, PLC / DCS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of meter calibration and proving, including reviewing reports, training 3rd party vendors, and witnessing critical sales meter calibrations (e.g., Pembina, TC Energy, Enbridge).
  • Provide technical expertise on metering and instrumentation, ensuring all new field meters comply with AGA, API, and BCER requirements.
  • Oversee measurement data integrity, including maintaining metering schematics, asset master meter list, tracking RTU configuration changes, reviewing data entry for validity and completeness (e.g., EZ Ops), and trending liquid meter factors.
  • Monitor plant metering balances; identify, document, and correct imbalances in communication with the Production Accounting team.
  • Develop and manage gas and liquid sampling programs, ensuring correct procedures, personnel training, and timely analysis updates into RTUs.
  • Update and maintain the PCE Measurement Integrity Process, including the Measurement Manual and associated business process documents.
  • Provide training to PCE field and plant personnel on measurement and reporting as required.
  • Interface with engineering, operations, service companies, and vendors on all measurement system issues.
  • Conduct and document periodic targeted inspections and primary measurement inspection reports for new well site facilities.
  • Keep current with industry trends, regulations, and technologies to enhance measurement accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain Flare / Fuel / Vent inventory logs for Production Accounting and participate in all BCER / regulatory inspections.

  • Communicate technical measurement information clearly and effectively to a diverse audience, including providing training.
  • Adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects, and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for measurement improvement and champion innovative solutions.
  • Qualifications

  • 7‑10+ years of related experience in hydrocarbon measurement, preferably in unconventional gas operations.
  • Detailed knowledge of metering and instrumentation, including meter design, installation, calibration, and proving.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations (e.g., AGA, API, ANSI, GPA, and BCER).
  • Good working knowledge of production reporting and production accounting processes.
  • Strong understanding of gas plant and facility schematics with the ability to interpret and apply information from PFD’s P&IDs, and other technical drawings in daily operations.
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, including EFM, RTU, PLC, DCS, and SCADA.
