The Dick Irwin Group has an opening for a n Automotive Service Technician - Apprentice

About the Role :
As an Apprentice Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform vehicle maintenance services, diagnosis and repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards This is full-time opportunity with payment determined on your experience and apprenticeship level.
Job Responsibilities :
- Road testing all vehicles before and after servicing.
- Assist in the diagnosis and repair of vehicles, as well as checking and verifying parts before installation.
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customers vehicles.
- Keeping up to date with factory technical bulletins and participating in factory online and classroom factory training classes.
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
- Learn how to use specialized tools and equipment
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the shop
- Additional duties as required.
We’re looking for an individual with :
1st or 2nd year ApprenticeHigh School Diploma or equivalentExcellent attention to detailExcellent organization skillsExcellent communication skillsA desire to exceed customer expectationsValid Class 5 drivers’ license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to drive standard transmission vehiclesPost-Secondary education such as a trades certificate or diploma is an assetPrevious shop / mechanic experience is an assetAbout The Dick Irwin Group
