Operations Technician

Introduction
Our client is seeking an Operations Technician to support daily operational activities across the site. Reporting to the Superintendent of Operations, this role is responsible for monitoring contractor performance, supporting administrative and operational logistics, managing invoicing and timesheet processing, and ensuring data accuracy across operational reports. The Operations Technician plays an important role in maintaining smooth site operations and supporting compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Code contractor timesheets and ensure accurate follow‑up of invoicing.
- Review and validate operational KPI reports and escalate discrepancies when required.
- Process SAP requests and transactions on behalf of the Superintendent of Operations.
- Prepare and submit material release notes for the warehouse.
- Actively participate in the Health & Safety Committee and support safety‑related initiatives.
- Complete arrival documentation for new workers when required.
- Enter data into various operational reporting tools, including workforce / labour reports.
- Support the implementation and application of relevant laws, standards, and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with contractors and internal teams to support daily operational needs.
- Perform any other related duties that align with operational and administrative requirements.
Qualifications :
DEC in Mineral Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in the mining industry considered an asset.Mining modules also considered an asset.No specific industry experience required; training will be provided.Experience in contract management or contractor supervision.Strong oral and written communication skills (French required; English is an asset).Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of SAP.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with contractors.High level of commitment to health and safety practices.Good understanding of Quebec Mining Regulations (asset).Why work with Brunel?
