Distribution Administrator

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Distribution Warehouse Manager the Distribution Administrator would be responsible for processing and reconciling all site-specific work orders and purchases and monitoring of DC systems. The Distribution Administrator will support the Human Resources & Safety Supervisor in the ongoing development and enhancement of the HR & Safety Programs for the Midwest Distribution Centre.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

• Work with all contractors on PMs & repairs of MHE refrigeration/HVAC systems warehouse racking dock doors/levelers auto gates fire alarm/fire sprinkler system yard maintenance & all other facility equipment requiring PMs & repairs
• Create purchase orders
• Receive purchase orders
• Reconciliation of invoices
• Monitor site security system (alarm system) & work with contractor on repairs as required
• Monitor site security camera system
• Update & print employee access cards
• Support with iWarehouse monitoring reports & adding new employees
• Setup annual fire alarm system inspection & repairs
• Setup semi-annual annual fire suppression system inspections & repairs
• Setup monthly fire pump tests & inspection
• Maintain inventory and repair records of office and warehouse systems hardware
• Procure and maintain office and warehouse systems hardware and supplies as required (RF devices etc.)
• Identify opportunities for office and warehouse process improvements
• Work with IS on any system upgrades or equipment replacements (after hours availability requirements)
• Managing daily courier shipping & tracking.

What Youll Bring:

• Completion of High school and combined with 1-2 years of experience in a Distribution environment would be an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external contacts.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Effective team player
• Proficient computer skills especially with Microsoft office programs including Excel and Word.
• Previous experience in Human Resources including unionized Distribution environment is an asset.
• Previous experience in Health & Safety environment is an asset.
• SAP knowledge would be an asset
• Previous work with contractors in past would be an asset
• Alarm systems knowledge would be an asset
• SAP knowledge would be an asset
• Previous work with contractors in past would be an asset
