About The Role
CARSTAR Sarnia (High Tech) is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our collision repair facility. This role is responsible for overseeing production, estimating, customer service, quality control, and team performance in Sarnia, Ontario. Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
- Oversee the complete repair process from intake through delivery
- Manage production flow, scheduling, and throughput to meet cycle-time targets
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM, CARSTAR, and insurer standards
Estimating & Insurance Interface
Oversee estimating accuracy, documentation quality, and supplement executionAct as the primary day-to-day contact for insurers, including image desk and virtual appraisersEnsure files progress efficiently and in line with DRP requirementsDRP Performance
Own operational performance against DRP scorecards (cycle time, CSI, compliance, documentation)Proactively address issues impacting insurer performance metrics
Customer Experience
Ensure a professional, transparent customer experience from start to finishHandle escalated customer concerns with confidence and careMaintain strong CSI and online review resultsLead, coach, and support all on-site staffManage scheduling, performance feedback, and day-to-day supervisionIdentify staffing needs and work with head office on hiring and trainingParts, Quality & Detail
