Job Description

Salary Range: $35.43 - $42.18

This is a part-time contract position to work rotating shifts - days and evenings, weekends and holidays included. Responsibilities include: maintaining an automated point of care distribution system, extemporaneous compounding of sterile and non-sterile products, computerized medication order entry and preparation of chemotherapy. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized pharmacy technician program or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years current experience in a Hospital environment or equivalent is required
  • Certification with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required
  • Keyboarding skills and knowledge of Meditech system a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required.

Valid criminal record checks are in original format and dated with two months from date of conditional offer from CMH.
