WHAT IS THE JOB?

The Resident Facility Manager is a key member of the IFM management team, reporting directly to the District Manager. The incumbent will coordinate account operations, be responsible for assigned service elements, and support Dexterra People in delivering services. The Manager fosters long term relationships by delivering operational excellence to meet client and customer needs. The Manager also provides direction and expertise to the account by promoting Dexterra strategies and best practices aligned with our Vison and Values.

  • Manages work orders for a portfolio of facilities belonging to the account, including the dispatch and coordination of appropriate resources, monitoring work order progress, communicating change requests to client, and closing out tasks for billing
  • Tracks and updates work orders in both internal and external database platforms
  • Provides continuing and consistent guidance, management and support to all stakeholders
  • Works toward ensuring Dexterra is viewed as a value-add service provider
  • Ensures a visible account-level presence to foster and maintain effective working relationship with all client representatives
  • Establishes and maintains a professional, trusting, and positive working relationship with client personnel
  • Maintains awareness and capitalizes on organic growth opportunities with existing facility portfolio and service base
  • Works with a mindset of increasing revenue and profit

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Previous experience in service coordination for facility management or related field is required
  • Previous experience using computer managed maintenance systems is required (Concept Evolution / MRI, ServiceChannel)
  • Education or combination of training and experience in a relevant field, ie. facility management, engineering, construction, or business administration
  • Previous experience demonstrating time-management and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in various office based software (Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, Adobe)
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies
