Must provide at leasttwo (2) recent references(withinthepastfive(5)years)andrelatedprojectsthatcanvalidate the knowledge and experience ofthe proposedresource. Informationmust include Organization, contactname,contact telephone number, e-mail address, adescriptionof the projects and the date and duration of thecontract.
Description : Responsibilities
- TheContractor’sresourcesmayberequired,butarenotlimitedto,toperformthefollowing :
- Providedatabasesupportanddatabaseadministrationtasksonprojectsandoperations,ConfigureandoptimizetheOracle12cinfrastructure,
- Performnecessaryoptimizationstothedatabaseenvironment,investigateandresolvedatabaseperformanceproblems,
- Providesupporttoserviceprovidersanddevelopersonprojectsandoperations,Performdatabasesecurityadministrationandsupport,
- Administerdatabasesanddatabaseserversinmultipleenvironments,
- Establishanddocumentdatabaseprocessesandproceduresthatareapproved,
- Design,implement,andconfigurebackupandrecoverystrategiesforallenvironments,MonitorOraclelicensingrequirementswiththesupportagreement,
- LiaisewithSharedServiceCanadaregardingtheserverenvironmentsandvariousRequestsforChange(RFCs),
- Provideguidance,adviceandrecommendationsonanydatabaserelatedinitiativestoservicesproviders,Provide recommendations to the Technical Authority and SeniorManagement on way forward for GACapplicationsusing Oracledatabases,
- ProvidestatusupdatestotheTechnicalAuthority,
- AnalyzethepossibilitiesofupgradingtoamorerecentversionofOracle(i.e.Oracle19c),PotentiallyupgradetoamorerecentversionofOracle,
- Knowledgetransfertoexistingstaff.
Qualifications
holdinga current, valid Government of Canada (SECRET) orhighersecurityclearanceatthedateandtimeoftheRFPbidclosing.

two (2) years of experienceas a Database Administrator usingOraclev12c&above;includinginstalling,configuring,tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading Oracle relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).
