Truck Driver - Class 1

Terus Construction is an integrated road construction and materials manufacturing company that has built roads in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory for over 30 years through decentralized business centers. Road construction, asphalt paving, aggregate production, hot mix asphalt and ready‑mix concrete supply are the core activities. The company also acts as a general contractor on civil construction projects such as excavation, utilities, concrete placement, sidewalks, and curbs, and on all kinds of road construction related activities.

Mission

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Truck Driver – Class 1 for our operations in Cranbrook, BC.

Main Responsibilities

• Must be licensed and able to safely operate a Class 1 Truck.
• Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
• Ability to work extended hours and irregular days with irregular breaks.
• Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering concrete.
• Must be willing to travel and work out town occasionally (hotels / LOA provided) when required.

Requirements

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $37-$39 CAD per hour. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Must be able to meet all safety requirements including pre‑employment drug / alcohol testing.
