Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Job Description : Responsibilities :

Responsibilities :

• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
• Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
• Hold and facilitate test plan / case reviews with cross-functional team members.
• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes

Mandatory Requirements :

• 8+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants.
• Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Experience working in DevOps operating process environments.
• Conceptual skills to see the big picture and assist in integrating QA / testing processes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience documenting and tracking testing and issue tracking systems.

Skills And Knowledge Required Skills :

• Experience in quality assurance at the specified experience level.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint, .NET Web, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript and related scripting technologies for automation.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one + platforms.
• Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills, verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Product cycle (functional & non-functional) testing experience.
• Test case design and review experience (from business requirements).
• Test case development experience.
• Experience in defect tracking.
• Test scenarios (use-cases) design and review.
• Test execution, analysis, and reporting experience.
• Experience in writing manual and automated test scripts.

Functional / Technical Skills :

• Diverse knowledge of testing to be able to provide recommendations to senior management.
• Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of software solution being tested
• Business process understanding.

Criteria :

• Hands on experience in developing and executing test scripts, test data, record software defects, documenting software defects and track resolution.
• Extensive knowledge in developing test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality of various modules and changes made to the modules.

Technology and Tool Skills :

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms including DevOPS as well as experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle

Business and Interpersonal Skills :

Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests are complete with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Public Sector Experience :

• Experience on testing enterprise level systems and exposure to Client QA processes and standards- minimum of 5 years.
